About this template
Warm Reddit with pure value. Own the loop.
Most Reddit “agent loops” die the same way: generic answers, rigid :00 posts, no memory of what worked. Jason Zhou’s Loopany Loop Engineering Episode 1 ran the opposite play — and published real numbers (about 0 → ~95 comment karma in a week on a personal account).
This template is that loop on a managed Claude Code microVM. You fork it. You own the box. You replace the seed wiki with your writing. Default mode is draft-for-review so nothing posts until you trust the voice.
The 90-second demo (no Reddit login)
Open the terminal after fork and paste:
Run one dry reddit-karma cycle offline using
~/.claude/skills/reddit-karma-loop/assets/fixtures/sample-threads.yaml
and the seed wiki. Write RC cards + a run log under ~/reddit-karma/runs/.
Do not post. Show which threads passed/failed the gate and why.
You should see threads fail for age, hostility, or occupied angles — and at least one pure-value draft. Skipping is the product.
The five leverages (already in the skill)
- Personal wiki — cite only pages under
~/wiki/(documented positions). - Thread filtering — prefer per-sub new; kill occupied angles; under ~48h.
- Right tools — OpenCLI under
~/tools/openclifor live Reddit (browser bridge is yours). - Random cadence — ledger gap ≥21 min, ≤5 posts/day, slot lottery so most ticks stay silent.
- Reflect & evolve — weekly strategy notes from real scores, not vibes.
What lands in your fork
| You get | Where |
|---|---|
| Orchestrator skill | ~/.claude/skills/reddit-karma-loop/ |
| Ledger / lottery / gate scripts | …/scripts/*.sh |
| Seed wiki + topic index | ~/wiki/ |
| Account ledger + config (draft-for-review) | ~/reddit-karma/ |
| OpenCLI (local npm, not global) | ~/tools/opencli/ + ~/.local/bin/opencli |
| Offline fixtures | skill assets/fixtures/ |
BYOK / live path
- Log into Claude Code with your Anthropic account (or export
ANTHROPIC_API_KEYin the shell — never paste a key into skills or the wiki). - Offline demo works with zero Reddit setup.
- For live posts: install the OpenCLI Browser Bridge, log into Reddit in Chrome, smoke
opencli reddit whoami, keepposting_mode: draft-for-reviewuntil you sign off on auto.
Designed for founders warming a personal account — not mass scaling.
Who should fork this
Yes: Founders who already write (or will write) a real personal wiki and want a careful Reddit presence.
No: Anyone hunting volume spam, multi-account schemes, or a “set and forget” bot with no human review.
