About this template

Your listings are good. Your tags are what get you found in search — and half of yours are single words you picked the day you opened the shop.

This agent fixes that without touching your shop. You paste a listing's title, description, and tags (or drop the CSV export from Shop Manager), and it writes back three things in a dated folder:

  • Keyword research in buyer language — 15-25 phrases grouped by recipient, occasion, style, and material, each with one line on why a buyer types it. No made-up search volumes — the draft tells you it's ranking by specificity and intent instead, so you know exactly what you're getting.
  • A retitled draft — your primary buyer phrase in the first 40 characters (the part Etsy and buyers read first), under 140 total, readable instead of comma-stuffed. Before and after, side by side.
  • All 13 tags — each 20 characters or fewer, multi-word phrases across distinct families instead of 13 spellings of one word. Before and after for every slot.

The template ships with a fixture listing so you can watch it work before touching your own shop — a listing titled just "Mug", seven single-word tags, six slots wasted. One run returns the filled worksheet: retitled draft, all 13 slots, a phrase-family column showing why each tag earns its place, and before/after on every field.

Every draft ends the same way: Drafts only — review and apply these yourself in Etsy Shop Manager. That line is not decoration — it is the contract. This agent has no way to touch etsy.com. It never scrapes — give it an Etsy URL and it'll ask you to paste the text instead. It never posts. It never invents a listing for a product you haven't made. It optimizes real work. Your work.

Try it in two minutes

Open any listing you own. Copy its title, description, and tags. Then paste:

Optimize this listing for Etsy search. Here is the listing text:
[your title, description, and tags]

A run folder lands in ~/etsy-seo/ with keywords.md and listing-draft.md. For a whole-shop pass: Shop Manager → Settings → Options → Download Data, drop the CSV in ~/etsy-seo/, and ask for a shop audit. It processes ten listings per run — for a 60-listing shop, that's six runs; each tells you what to fix first.

Good fit / bad fit

Fork this if you have real listings and want more of Etsy's search traffic pointed at them — and you want to stay the one who approves every word.

Skip it if you want product ideas to dropship, listings generated from thin air, or a bot that auto-posts to your shop. It refuses all three by design.

What you need

Your own Claude Code login or Anthropic API key — that's it. The agent runs in an isolated VM you own, on your subdomain; your shop data stays in your VM. A slot exists for Etsy's official developer API if you ever want it — the paste/CSV path needs no key at all.

Fork it and your first retitled draft is about two minutes away. $25+/mo, 30-day money-back on your first purchase — refund inside 30 days and the drafts it already wrote you are yours to keep. No free trial; the guarantee is the trial.
